Spring is go-time
Springtime is one of the gardener’s favorite times of the year making it H Potter's favorite as well. With the disappearance of snow and ice, plants can begin to emerge from their long winter hibernation or can be planted to prepare for the beauty of the warm summer months. Spring is go-time, so it's time to get your seeds and sprouts planted. With all of these movements in mind, let’s take the time to walk through a few tips to get your garden started on the right foot and maximize the usefulness and decor value of your plant containers.
#1The Intro to the Rest of Your Garden
Plant containers are often the introduction or the dazzling entrance to your gardening or outdoor space. Plants and flowers will of course be the focal point for the garden, however, containers and decor will serve to frame the garden in the best light possible.
Framing can take on a number of different looks during this process. Add these containers and planter pots to the garden gate to provide a regal entrance. Frame larger trees or bushes with planter boxes and containers that hold contrasting flowers or colors. Or use these frames as the center of the foliage outdoor focal point.
#2Plan For the Weather
While gardeners everywhere experience springtime as a season of new beginnings and the prospects of new forays in the arena of horticulture, spring climates are not identical. For some spring will be rainy and drab, or spring might still feel like winter, or spring might not be that much different from winter. These realities tell us that the spring experience of planting may look different, and may require different planting times or different plant containers to accentuate the outdoor area.
Plant earlier if you experience a mild spring, and later if your area experiences more frost and cold snaps during the lengthening days. Choosing the right colors and plants may also be important. Remember that just because you plant a flower during the spring, you don’t have to keep that one all year. Plant some flowers or plants that will thrive in the early spring, and replace them later with summer flowers or other greenery.
#3Choose Something You’ll Love
Chances are that you will find thousands of different types of plant containers, planter pots, window boxes, and other options in the modern age of the internet. These options are of course fantastic, since they will provide something for every type of gardener and every type of person. Perhaps you enjoy bright colors, a metallic sheen, or dark contrasts.
There’s something out there for you, and finding it might not be as hard as you think. Explore all the different options in front of you and find the one that you love. Having a container or planter pots you love will make your garden that much more special to you, while also infusing it with your own personality, to show off when your friends come to visit.
#4Transitioning Between Seasons
One of the most vivid transitions during the year is the time between winter and spring. Snow melts and the temperatures get warmer. Plants that died come back to life and bring their vibrant colors with them. The world is transformed into a beautiful collection of colors, smells, and experiences.
Like the wild flowers waking up from their sleep, the plants around your home can’t wait to participate in this natural orchestra. Colorful flowers are perfect for spring and will show off the excitement for the new season, and the gardener’s preparation for the summer growing months.
#5Keep It Simple
When you begin planting, be careful not to let the excitement of the season over power your planting strategies. Some minimalism or using a garden notebook to plan is healthy for your garden and your planters to keep the focus on the garden and not on the mishmash of crazy colors that will distract from the beauty.
Find the best colors to softly complement each other. Or simply choose to go with one plant in any given container to maintain the effect of simple colors and color schemes throughout the garden or outdoor space.
